Is Five Star Auto Auction open the public?

Yes. We are open to the public on auction day. Dealers are welcome as well.

What type of vehicles do you sell?

We have Drug Seizers, DUI Arrests, Police Impounds, IRS Seizers, Charitable Donations, Dealer Consignments, Buildable Salvage and Wrecked Salvage.

When do you have the Auction?

We have an Auction every three weeks. Please check the auction calendar.

How do I tell the Drivable cars?

The Auction is divided into two separate parts. Cars 101-499 are non-running, mechanic specials or buildable salvage. Cars numbered 500 and up are drivable cars.

What do I need to bring to the Auction?

You will need a $400 cash deposit and a photo ID to become a bidder. The $400 deposit is refundable if you are not high bidder on a vehicle. If you are high bidder on a vehicle the $400 is applied to your purchase. 

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please note that your deposit must be in cash.  Cashier’s Checks are only accepted from preapproved Arizona Automotive Dealers.

How long do I have to pay for my car?

You will have until the Wednesday following the auction to pay for the vehicle.

Are the titles all salvage?

No, this is a big myth in the Auction business. Yes, some are salvage but there are many good title vehicles as well. The title status is listed right on the auction sheet. Please ask any staff member and they can help you with the title status.

When can I see the vehicles?

Five Star is open for preview the Friday prior to auction day from 8am-6pm. We are also open auction day 7am for preview. The auction starts at 8am.

When can I take my new vehicle home?

We have the titles to all the vehicles on property. Once you have paid for your vehicle we will sign the title over to the registered bidder and you can take it immediately.

Can I leave the title open?

No. All titles will be placed in the registered bidders name.

Can I make Payments on my purchase?

No. We do not accept payments. All vehicles must be paid in full no later than Wednesday following the Auction.
